The winters out here still run cold and severe, same climate band as the rest of the service area, and that's where a rushed install bites you later. A door set slightly out of plumb or a bottom seal that wasn't fitted tight won't show a problem in July. It shows up the first hard freeze, when the seal shrinks, the gap opens, and the opener starts straining against a door that's binding on one side of the track.
The other way a newer-construction install goes wrong is assuming "newer" means "no surprises." A 2003-era garage can still have a slightly out-of-square opening from settling, or a header that wasn't framed for the door weight someone wants to hang today - a heavier insulated steel door, for instance, instead of the lighter original. We check plumb, square, and header load before we hang anything, new house or old.
